Ex-CTU agent Jack Bauer is called back from inactive status after he receives an urgent call from the President of the United States and learns that a nuclear bomb is due to be detonated in Los Angeles within the next 24 hours.

While Jack tries to infiltrate a gang of terrorists, Kim attempts to get Megan away from her abusive father. A young woman named Kate grows suspicious of Reza, the Middle Eastern man her sister is about to marry.
